What is Saint George Institute?
Saint George Institute forms disciples through Christian paideia—the comprehensive training of mind, character, and practice for Christian mission.
We are always being formed by something. Christian paideia asks a better question: formed by whom, and toward what end? Through Scripture, historic Christian doctrine, thoughtful discussion, and faithful practice, SGI helps believers bring every part of life under the lordship of Christ.
The curriculum has been developed in-house by North Summit Church’s pastoral team. SGI is not a separate organization or an outside partnership—it is one way our church is carrying out the biblical work of teaching and forming disciples.

Each course may be taken individually, but together they trace a deliberate path from knowing truth to embodying it.
Doctrinal formation
Establish the bedrock of Christian orthodoxy—what the Church has always believed, why it matters, and how historic Christian practices shape a faithful life.

Our first year is underway
Our 2026–27 cohort is now learning together and building a pattern of formation that can serve our church for years to come. Full-year registration is closed, but those interested in Courses 102, 103, or 104 as standalone courses may contact us about availability.

The 2026–27 year is offered exclusively to the North Summit Church family. Registration for the full-year cohort is now closed.
If you are interested in taking Course 102, 103, or 104 as a standalone course during the current year, email sgi@northsummit.com. We will follow up with availability and details.
Classes meet Tuesdays from 6:00–8:00 PM. Plan for about two additional hours of homework each week and participation in an online discussion board with your cohort.
Tuition is $25 per person, per eight-week course. Full-year registration for 2026–27 is closed; contact us for information about possible standalone participation in Courses 102–104.
Classes will meet in person at North Summit Church in Sandpoint. Room and arrival details will be shared with registered participants.
